Plaza Services, LLC, a nationally licensed, professional accounts receivable portfolio investment firm located in Atlanta, GA, is pleased to announce the addition of Ginny Rodriguez as Chief Compliance Officer. Ms. Rodriguez has nearly 20 years of experience in the collections industry. She is an RMAI Certified Receivables Compliance Professional and accomplished in staff development, contract negotiation, fiscal management, and project management.
In her role as Chief Compliance Officer with Plaza Services, Ms. Rodriguez will spearhead all compliance initiatives for service providers, oversee quality and administration in relation to process handling and adherence to federal and state laws, and conduct internal auditing and oversee external processes for service provider audits. She will actively work with organization leaders on compliance initiatives for policies, procedures, and organizational changes. Ms. Rodriguez’s responsibilities will also include managing Plaza Services’ compliance management system and its relationship to all company processes and expectations.
“We are excited to have someone of Ginny’s caliber join our executive team and lead our compliance efforts as we continue to grow,” says President Gerald Lewis. “With her experience and knowledge, she will be a tremendous asset to Plaza Services and I feel confident that she will be a key contributor to our established culture of compliance and integrity.”
Ms. Rodriguez is a seasoned compliance professional and has held increasingly senior positions within the receivables industry, having begun her career as a collector and working most recently as a compliance auditor. Her background includes tenures as an Operational Support Manager, Internal Compliance Auditor, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Administration Officer, and more. In her recent leadership roles, she has been responsible for conducting all internal audits for departments and clients, preparing and reviewing deliverables for external audits, implementing changes based on efficiency needs for internal audits and exception reporting, reviewing daily strategies for overall client performance, and working with peer departments for sound functionality in process improvement and management.
“I am excited to join Plaza and begin the next chapter of my career with such a well-respected organization and team. One of my goals as a 20-year-old coming into the collection industry was to learn everything I could about the collection life cycle. I am excited to bring my experience into this role as well as become more experienced with debt buying,” says Mrs. Rodriguez. “I look forward to working alongside leadership to continue optimizing and strengthening the Company’s compliance programs as we continue to grow.”
Ms. Rodriguez grew up in Alabama, spent the last 21 years in Florida (graduating from Florida State College at Jacksonville during that time), and now lives in Georgia. She is a busy mother of 6 children who range in age from 2 to 25 years old. Since she was young, she has been passionate about volunteerism and currently donates her time to her local church, the hospital, and zoo. She is an avid lover of the outdoors and loves to support her children’s extracurricular activities and sporting events. While Ms. Rodriguez has many interests outside of work, her favorite hobby of all is spending time with her family.
