Plaza Services, LLC, a nationally licensed, professional accounts receivable portfolio investment firm located in Atlanta, GA, announces the achievement of Services Organizational Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 compliance. Working closely with Daniel Schindler of Pro Forma Inc, Plaza Services’ certification was issued on April 30, 2021 by AARC-360, an independent, third-party, nationally certified CPA firm.

“In the highly regulated ARM industry, data security is critical and an essential component for trusted relationships and company growth. The SOC 2 Type 2 audit is the leading benchmark for security and our attainment of this highly respected certification provides tremendous assurance that we align the information controls and policy safeguards we employ with industry standards of best practice,” says Gerald Lewis, President of Plaza Services. “With this additional certification, Plaza Services cements our deep commitment to ensuring the security and confidentiality of data entrusted to us.”

Highest Possible Data Security and Integrity

Service Organization Control (SOC) audit results confirm a company’s allegiance and adherence to the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of data stored in the cloud. Plaza Services successfully achieved SOC 2 Type 1 audit completion in May 2020 and has now successfully completed the SOC 2 Type 2 audit. Type 2 is a much lengthier process that affirms abidance with necessary security procedures over a period of time. Plaza’s SOC 2 Type 2 audit generated a stronger, more trustworthy report that confirms its longstanding commitment to compliance.

What is SOC 2 Type 2?

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 Type 2 audits produce an internal controls report that captures how well an organization implements the processes and controls that protect customer data. The process is rigorous and lengthy, with the resulting report verifying that the design and operational effectiveness of corporate controls related to the confidentiality and privacy of the information are in place and have been consistently effective for months. Plaza’s success is an attestation of its long-standing dedication to implementing critical security policies.

Plaza Services’ Commitment to Security and Compliance

Addressing the increasing need for trust and transparency, the Plaza team, with help from Mr. Schindler, embarked on the optional and lengthy SOC 2 Type 2 audit to assure clients and consumers that its systems and processes are at the highest levels of compliance and reliability. The successful completion of the independent audit reflects long-term adherence to strenuous compliance standards and the utilization of the most stringent security practices that ensure the availability, processing integrity, and privacy of sensitive data stored in the cloud.

“Plaza Services voluntarily underwent this extensive review of our internal security processes and systems as evidence of how we create and maintain a safe environment for our clients’ confidential data,” continues Mr. Lewis. “We understand our responsibility to minimize risk and safeguard consumer data stored in the cloud and we are proud to publicly announce and display this new security certification. SOC 2 Type 2 compliance signifies our ability to establish and enforce comprehensive security practices and further distinguishes our organization within the industry.”
