Q: Is Plaza Services a Scam?

No, Plaza Services is not a scam. We are a legitimate company and have earned RMAI Certified Receivables Business status for our commitment to ethical and legal standards of best practice throughout our operations. Founded in 2014, our company is an active receivables management industry leader based in Atlanta, GA. We are members of multiple trade associations including Receivables Management Association International, ACA International, and Georgia Collectors Association.

Q: Why is the “Open Date” on my credit report different from when I actually opened the account?

The credit bureaus require Plaza to report the date of acquisition as the “Open Date.” This is the date Plaza Services became the creditor, not the date the original account was opened with the original creditor. Please know that this “Open Date” does not affect how long our tradeline may appear on your credit report. Please see Credit Bureau Reporting for more information.

Q: What should I do if I am the victim of Identity Theft?

Please submit a Fraud Affidavit as soon as possible. Fraud claims are typically processed within 1-2 business days of the request. You will receive a written acknowledgment that your fraud claim has been received. We will respond within 30 days of receipt of the fraud claim with the outcome of the investigation. If we cannot locate your account, we may need to contact you. Please include your contact information and be sure to read and complete the affidavit as thoroughly as possible.

Q: Does Plaza report to credit bureaus?

Yes. We report the status of accounts that we own to TransUnion. We urge consumers to review our strategy in regard to credit bureau reporting.
